What if a Loan Originator goes out of business?
In this case the state where the particular Loan originator operates will appoint a Bankruptcy administrator. It will take over the company and make all possible and necessary steps to collect on the loans issued by the Loan originator. The aim is to ensure the continuity of the debt collection process, including for loans in which the investor has invested. The buyback guarantee in case of bankruptcy process most likely will not be enforceable due to solvency issues of the Loan originator. The Bankruptcy administrator continues to manage the particular company to a point where all credits are collected and all liabilities are covered as much as possible.
